NZ SERIES N WC 2011

After the no1 test team defeated the no1ODI team completely, INDIA now gears up for a Diwali gift series with the kiwis,Kiwis are coming off a horror series in bangladesh losing 4-0.In win Bangladesh has put more pressure on us to win the matches easily ,we may do that as well but is this ideal for wc ? The focus is not this series its SA tour that we concentrating more on.Senior players being rested but i doubt if SA tour more important then WC2011 !! BCCI could have been better off arranging this tour before aussies n kiwis which would have been better preparation for the world cup .Imagine the confidence aussies would have left losing to Indians.After all white wash no1 team just b4 wc always prefered. All said INDIA still need to settle on their team combination yet yes Viru,Gauti,Sachin,Raina,MSD,Bhajji,Zak,Yuvi auto select themsevles.But trouble is every time we expect so much from our youngsters( who shine in IPL) they fail on big day.ROHIT, KOHLI,ROBIN,have got many chances n now KOHLI seems to settling in the most but still its his position thats hard to cement.We lack a fast bowler to hit deck hard and have some pace too.In zak we do have experience but its not good when u dont have back up from other end.PK comes to help here but he lacks fire when there is no swing available for him,Spin being lead by Bhajji does not inspire confidence as well n with time Bhajji has become more of contention bowler then wicket taking option.We are missing an all rounder who can bat anywhere n bowl 10 overs too some one like Irfan pathan but our selectors just dont want him in squad too.With contest for just 4 spots in team India does have chance to win the world cup but we also need more brainy BCCI to plan tours according to our cricket and not as per their hunger for money !!

INDIA VS SRI LANKA FINAL preview

WELL so many times this has happened that INDIA SRI LANKA have faced each other in last 3 years we have played 43 ODI'S and people say we want ODI'; to survive you cant let viewers get bored by showing them same matches all over though boards will never complainn coz of the revenue they generate everything said and done we do need fewer matches with lanka atleast .Coming back to final between its almost slipping out of hands for youngsters like VIRAT SHARMA AND DK to keep their form in big final pressure is more and when ur in final coz one man army its doubled conditions might be tough but this is were the metal of a player is identified. RANDIV-VIRU controversy just hads spice to an even contest .Both teams would like to bat first on new pitch which has shown signs of being more adaptive for stroke players which is just what young indian brigade might need to survive. SRI LANKA will feel lot better since their  line up is more settled than indias and worry for india has been jadeja who cant bat gives 6's at will so we might just see ROHIT SHARMA  for him in the final which will mean same 4pacers and few overs 4m viru,raina,yuvi.
Over al its going to be good match to watch on saturday given new pitch and similar conditions we are in for a  cracker of game.

EVERYTIME MS DHONI LOST THE TOSS THERE WAS A QUESTION WHERE HAS MSD'S CHARM GONE ,Finally he got it right once but sadly the team got it wrong it was a forgettable day when nothing went right except the toss.Even today when dhoni won the toss and elected to bat dinesh n virat shiwed him scary signs but when raina got out and india at 66/4 in 12.3 overs .dhoni might be wondering whether he should come for toss.Yes these are youngsters but they have to be perssisted with since you cant have experince by seating on benches so indian young brigade is under fire and what a time to score a century for viru.Viru ws magnificant through his extra cover drives and gr8 placements he was terific dhoni payed 2nd foil and they together fought out everything and eventually viru as usual raced to his 100 but as luck had him he holed out at midwicket springing collapse dhoni follwed him making valuable 38 jadeja chipped in with 17 and some lower order resistance and blows got india to 223 after being 66/4 india  might take it anyday given the conditions present for the batsmen under lights so new zealand and india both have equal chance to make it to final of the tri series
